Electro-mounting crew was separated from the special work crew of 6th concern and 22nd department in 1957. Under the order of the same concern and after joining the crews, electro-mounting department No. 34 has been established. The purpose of the department was to carry out electro-mounting works. A branch office was established in 1974 in Alytus. This was the beginning of "Elmonta". Company name and dependence has changed several times over the years, but the type of works stayed the same.
The company was privatized and registered as SC "Elmonta" in September, 1991, and as JSC "Elmonta" in 1993.
Quality management system according to the requirements of ISO 9002:1995 standard was implemented in 2000, and according to ISO 9001:2000 - in 2003, renewed in 2006.
Works are carried out using modern technologies as well as world-known equipment and materials. JSC "Elmonta" was first to lay 110 kV cable in Lithuania in 2003. The first line was laid between transformer stations "Siaurine" and "Centrine" in Vilnius.

We have gained experienced while working with foreign companies. It is necessary to fill FIDIC contracts. We have arranged training for engineers of the company on working according to FIDIC contracts in 2006. Experts of "European Construction Ventures Limited" have pursued the training.
The company employs 140 people: 110 workmen, 8 work managers and executives, 22 administrative and technical employees.
